A full-featured hot tub needs to be wired correctly, so it operates safely and properly. In most cases, a full-featured hot tub usually requires a 50 or 60 amp power feeder to power the pumps and heaters.

Check for the voltage and required size of the hot tub feeder before purchase.
Electric Service Charge
You will want to have at least a 200 amp electrical service if the hot tub you are buying requires a 50 amp feeder or larger.
