Why Upgrade Your Electrical Service
An electrical service meter & panel upgrade provides you more power and circuits for your home or business. Most homes have at least a 100 amp service, but because of all the new appliances, kitchen remodeling, and home additions, the minimum size service installed in homes today is 200 amps. A 200 amp service provides more power and up to 42 circuits to feed lighting, appliances, and general power requirements.
Some of the earliest electric panels were fused. But, today, circuit breakers have taken the place of fuses. Many insurance companies require fused electric panels be replaced with circuit breakers.
